Riding a Unicycle in the Tour de France

The Grom and I had been talkin' about doing the Ensenada tune-up(Newport Bch 2 DP) on his 29er for like 6 months, and on saturday, it was finally time!

We got an early start and were charging up the toll road when the right traier tire started smokin! We plled over and let the bering cool for a little bt, then slowly crawled up to BYC where we threw the beast in the water.

D Bolt drove the triler south, and the Grom and I sailed out the enterance upwind, not a good sign. We put the kite up and played around before the big boats started arriving, and all eyes were on us as we zipped through the fleet. everyone laughed when the Grom missed the trap hook on one gybe and went into the water headfirst. We started with the "A" boats at noon, and had hopes of the clearing skies bringing a west shift, but were left with a beat all the way up the coast to Dana Point. Needless to say, our sleighride proved to be a short sprint into the harbor from the point with the kite up. Thanks to D Bolt and Tosh, we had a photo/crash boat to tag along and get some shots of me and the Grom tough it out. All in all, it was a fun time with my bro, and a lesson in sticking it out regardless of what gets thrown up in front of you.
